On Our Knees

Philippians 4:6 " Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving present your requests to God."

We want to live out this verse and take everything to God as well as praise Him for the way He answers all of our prayers.  We will update these prayer request as well as the praises.

31/5/2015

Lots of prayer request this evening.  First please keep our dad Mahlon Pierce in your prayers as he has been experiencing Kidney issues.  It has been several years now but Mahlon had prostrate cancer.  Reciently as many know he did suffer from a heart attack. Truth of the matter is all of our parents are getting older and it's getting harder and harder to be on the other side of the world.

Also you could be praying for our family as ministry stresses are growing.  With in a week our facility will be down to three families for the next several months.  Saying that we are realizing it is time for a break but time and funds are not available.

9/4/13 We are praying for God to raise up pilots to serve NTM PNG.  We just lost one pilot and will be losing our chief pilot next year.  The Lord has answered this prayer.  We now have several pilots in country awaiting training.  Although as many of you know we have had some setbacks as one of our pilots training for the Kodiak was in a horrible motorcycle accident.  Saying that we are still seeing God move forward with the aviation program here in PNG.

9/4/13 Pray for funds needed to purchase a Kodiak plane to better serve our missionaries here in PNG.  Praise the Lord with us as He has answered this prayer in amazing ways.  We now have three, yes three Kodiak planes on their way to PNG!!

9/4/13 Pray for the pigin ministries going on around us. Many are professing faith in Christ!  The Pigin ministry is growing and growing.  Continue to pray for our local citizen workers to grow in the truth they are hearing.  No matter what language the citizens of PNG are hearing the Truth in the one thing that stands in their way is their deep animistic belief system.

9/4/13 Our family would like to head back home next summer 2014 to spend time with family. Travis' mom is not in the best of health and we will need to raise funds for this.
God, thank you so much for allowing our family to go home and be with our family!

9/11/12 We will be having three new German Interns join us in a few days.  Please pray that their time here will be an unforgettable experience as they look to the Lord to grow them in many ways.

9/11/12  Please pray for Travis and I as we have an opportunity to go into the Gimi tribe with Lynne White for 10 days.  It is helicopter only and will be pretty rough living conditions. The dates are Oct. 2-12th

9/11/12  Please pray for Travis' mom.  She has Parkinson's and she is now needing in home care.

7/26/12  The students have completed their time here and are now home.  Pray for their hearts to be open to what God has for them, also pray they will be able to present a clear picture of what tribal missions is all about with family and friends.

7/26/12  We had a great time with our first Interface team of students.  Please pray that God's will would be done here.  Interface has seen the numbers in students decrease over the years and there is only 1 student signed up for the January program.  Pray for our direction and the Lords will in it all.

7/26/12  Our girls just started their first day of school Wednesday.  Sierra is in 9th grade and Brooke is in 8th grade.  Pray for their teachers, they are short staffed this year and some teachers are doubling up.  Sierra and Brooke are starting band this year and Sierra will also be playing softball.  Pray for them to stay focused in all areas and that they would have a desire to learn.

7/26/12  Pray for Travis and I as we are back to language learning now that the students are gone.  Pray we are able to see what we are missing in the language and that retain what we have learned.

7/26/12  Pray for a much needed Christmas break for our girls.  They are really missing home and family!  We are looking at going to Australia as it is the closest to PNG with an American feel.  We would like to leave when their break from school is, Dec.22nd.  We are praying for funds to fly there and back.  Would you join us in prayer over this?

4/12/12  Pray for the Bena Bena.  They are in much need of the gospel in a clear and untainted way.  We have many churches (lotu's) up here and one would think they know all about God, but they are so confused with religions and works on top of their animistic beliefs that sometimes I think this task is impossible.  But God reminds me that all things are possible with HIM! So continue to pray for God to show us opportunities to share clearly and allow the blinders to be removed.

4/12/12  Pray for our support to increase to 100%.  We are realizing the more we are here that there are good reasons to be fully funded.  The American dollar keeps decreasing and the Kina (PNG money) keeps increasing.
