Nikki and I came with our two girls to Papua New Guinea in 2012. We came to work with "Interface" which is a recruiting facility for college age students to learn about tribal missions. Although we loved it there and what we did, God saw fit to move the location to another region. We were unable to relocate so we took a ministry with another support base here in the highlands of PNG. So, although our over all goal of seeing Churchs Planted among the Least Reached People Groups is still our focus, our role has changed. We have moved from educating and recruiting to personnel, building, and maintaining.
Travis has now been asked to serve the field of PNG in a number of areas as we are so limited with personnel. Travis now serves as the Central Area Coordinator, Sobega Centre Manager, and Building Coordinator. Although I might wear many hats they all exist to support the Church planting efforts going on in the jungles of PNG! The main focus is to see that our bush families can continue on with the culture and language, translation, teaching and discipleship. Goal to see God church grow to many of the least reached areas of PNG!
Nikki has taken the role of Business Office Manager here at the base. She oversees various tasks to help keep the center functioning. Along with working in the office she is also mom and wife which keeps her busy 24/7.
As Nikki and I work together one of our favorite parts of being here is getting to know so many families from the Church around the world. We are blessed to have a part in so many tribal works and blessed to know and be involved in the lives of some many people around the field of PNG!
